denim love

Another round of the infamous denim on denim trend that has so easily taken over every fashionista's wardrobe. This is my second take on the trend, after previously sporting it with boyfriend jeans, and dare I say that I love it way more with shorts, rather than jeans. Next on will definitely have to be paired with a destroyed vest (add some fringe and a cowboy hat and I could so easily be in the west).

Levi's vintage men's shirt and cutoffs (here and here), vintage belt, Zara heels, H&M necklaces (similar)

stuff I usually dream of

sheinside

It all started when I opted to find one or two cool tshirts from SheInside, since I know that the online shop has grown to become the it-place for all the utterly cool it pieces. I obviously couldn't stick to just tshirts, so before I could realise it, I had created a huge list of my biggest cravings. Here's the result, going clockwise from left, and straight to my bank account.

+Totem printed shorts
+Double triangles tshirt
+Green drawstring shorts
+Beaded chiffon vest
+Green eye ring
+Zipper floral vest
+Pink asymmetrical skort
+Kansas City Chiefs top
+Ripped denim shorts

going east

Wasn't really planning to dress as a moving Zara ad, but you know these things happen when the king of high-street stocks on such good pieces. This kimono is the newest addition to my closet after this, and I so conveniently inaugurated it on the day that I sat for my Chinese examination. The examiners didn't seem to notice though.

Back on the kimono though: as I had said on the previous post, this kind of outerwear will grow to become an all year long staple. Sheer, with fringe, embroidered, silk, chiffon, they come in countless fabrics, designs and shapes to choose from, go with almost anything, and are ideal for summer (note: you'll be seeing a lot of them over bikinis and/ or cutoffs).

I've linked some of my favorite options below.

Zara kimono, top and trousers, H&M and vintage rings, Louis Vuitton Speedy bag, Promod sandals (similars, only better)

punk: chaos to couture

via vogue

There should be a pop-up window before opening any photo from this year's Met gala, saying in bright letters 'Not gonna be good for your wardrobe's esteem'. But there is none so there, mood officially ruined. You have already read half of this post though, so please be my guest and go on.

Things that bear further discussion:
- Miley Cyrus's hair. What the f happened there?
- Celebrities (ahem Gwyneth Paltrow) who obviously don't get the punk theme. I mean, pink?
- Gisele smokin' hot legs + Miranda Kerr's arms. Those two combined equal the perfect body.
- Sienna Miller's Eddie Borgo tiara, which reminded me of those plastic tiaras we 90's kids used to wear back in the day. LOVE.
- Jamie King looking all ravishing in a Topshop tuxedo, yet very much resembling her grunge days, that I so absolutely love.
- January Jones with short brown hair. Whatever happened to those blonde locks? Not that she looks bad this way.. Or any way, for that matter.
- Coco Rocha pulling off the punk look perfectly in an Emanuel Ungaro dress and super sleek french-ponytailed hair, created by the best at its kind, Moroccanoil.

I strongly believe this year's theme was one of my favorite ones; it allowed the guests to be as original as possible, and showed some of this season's biggest trends (bird-like eye makeup and crazy short hair among them).

90s mood

When you've got absolutely nothing to do but lie around in the sun and relax (thank the Orthodox Easter), you can't help but dress a tad more casual than usual. And the epitome of casual always is a pair of Converse, mixed with comfy basics. A pair of trusted and true Levi's, Zara basics top and a Gucci jacket and you're good to go.

vintage Gucci bomber jacket, Zara top, vintage Levi's shorts, Converse sneakers, vintage necklace, Ray-Ban wayfarers
